Together

Bright-moonlit night in the forest; shadows dance upon us as we play. A warm breeze flows over us and I catch your familiar scent. Memories flood my mind of long ago and fill me with sweet emotions. Oh that nervousness yet certainty we shared; so pure, so true – as if in a dream. But out of every dream, we must awake.

Bright-moonlit night in the forest and we play. Oh, what do you think of, my Dear? I’m so desperate for your thoughts… I could scream!!! My heart longs to know you, every little bit. But the waiting, the hours, days and years of waiting… the maddening force called time haunts me so easily. It brings about frustration and loss; a mourning for those moments we should have shared.

Bright-moonlit night and we try. Picking up the pieces, one by one, while hanging onto each thread. Confusion and love surround our space; stepping with each tippy-toe, to not hurt. And out of my daydream I am met with a whisper of oh so familiar words…”May I kiss you”?
